Virtual Venue
To join the virtual venue, click here:
The virtual venue will host all events leading up to the main program (including tutorials, contributed posters, the mentoring workshop, and preview day) as well as live-streams of the main program talks (which will be given primarily in-person).
The virtual components will take place on the Gather.town platform. This platform provides a 2d layout in which participants can navigate an avatar using the arrow keys. When a group of avatars are in close proximity, a video conference is automatically started within Gather.town. Tables and chairs provide private video conferencing space. Talks will either be given live on the platform, or live-streamed from the physical venue to the platform. Please note that you will need to register to obtain the login credentials.
The first time that you log in, you will need to authenticate with the Gather system. We recommend logging in early to avoid delays with authentication!
Authentication instructions: click the link above and log in with the email address that you used to register for the conference. You will be emailed a verification code that you should click to authenticate access. If you have any questions on accessing, navigating the platform, or interacting with others, please email ec2022-virtualvenue@googlegroups.com. If you have not already registered, please do so prior to the events.
